O Joy bashes CM for not providing a suitable job to Mr Boby

Firebrand politician Okram Joy has slammed Chief Minister N Biren over his failure to keep commitment regarding providing a suitable job to Arambam Boby, a seven time world body building champion. Addressing reporters at his Kakwa residence, O Joy said that Chief minister N Biren while paying a visit to the residence of former Mr India title winner Irom Maipak on December 16, 2018, assured that government would provide a suitable job to Arambam Boby who have won seven times world body building championships to his credit, apart from paying state honour to him in a grand state function. Four months have passed but the government is doing nothing for the body builder who brought laurels for the state and the country.
“It is very unfortunate that a chief minister fails to keep his words. Statement of a chief minister is statement of the government.
But the present BJP led government is addicted to making tall promises and lies to woo the people. That the chief minister is a liar can be easily inferred from the case of Body builder Arambam Boby, “O Joy charged the chief minister. The laurels brought by Boby is not only for the state but also for the country. In this case, government of India also should consider something for the Mr. World title winner. Winning World titles for seven times by a sportsperson from the economically ridden state is a great achievement that deserves high appreciation. However, the present BJP government is not serious on such achievements and unwilling to encourage and promote the local people. BJP is a party which does not like to develop the local people but the non locals. If Boby was born in other states like west Bengal, they would have celebrated victory for days and months, he said.Mr Arambam Boby hailing from Lilong Chajing Mairenkhong also attended the press meet.
He said that he was happy when the chief minister announced to provide him suitable job. He thought that such initiative of the government would also motivate the younger generation who loves body building which remained unrecognized for years. Despite months passed, state government is yet to provide him any job.
He questioned if the commitment of the chief minister was to honour him or giving insult.
