Hijam Irabat smiriti awardee Dipak Bhattacharya passes away

Former CPI MLA and a former president of the Jananeta Hijam Irabat Smiriti Raksha Committee, Silchar Dipak Bhattacharya took his last breathed on Tuesday at around 6.15 am at Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
He was 79 year old and was suffering from Kidney complications. He was survived with his wife Anamika Bhattacharya. Dipak Bhattacharya, a veteran Communist leader was also known for his humble behaviour and for his well relationship with grassroots peoples.
It is also mentionable that to pay their last homage to the braved soul large numbers of peoples including many leaders , administration authority were gathered in the evening at Communist Party Office, Silchar. Amongst other, Divjyoti Thakuria, ACS, Assistant Commissioner, Silchar District administration, Dulal Mitra, L.Birkumar,L.Manglemba Singha, Laishram Tejamani from Jananeta Hijam Irabat Smiriti Raksha Committee, Silchar, Ansarul Haque Laskar,Nirmal Dey and many others from Communist party , Babul Hore from District Sports Authority, Silchar, Advocate D.Some , Advocate Chunilal Bhattacharya, Dr.M.Santi Kumar Singh,from Cachar District Trinamul Congress, Sanjiv Ray ,Sangeet Ningomba from All Assam Manipuri Students Union, Silchar and many others paid floral tributes to the departed soul.
A well known social worker and a humanist Dipak Bhattacharya was conferred “Hijam Irabat Smiriti Samanna Award” last year by the Jananeta Hijam Irabat Smiriti Raksha Committee, Silchar for his commendable contribution for the development of the Hijam Irabat statue at Silchar in Assam . Dipak Bhattacharya was also a true follower of the Hijam Irabat ‘s ideology.
“His commendable contribution for the well being of the human being specially for the downtrodden peoples will write with golden letters in the history” peoples opined.
