NSUI Manipur Launches ‘Project Shakti’

National Students Union of India (NSUI), Manipur launched ‘Project Shakti’, a platform for communicating and integrating all congress party workers and office bearers, at Congress Bhavan on Saturday.
Shakti will be the primary system for All India Congress Committee to collect and store information of all party worker and office bearers. It was launched by the Rahul Gandhi few months ago.
Speaking at the launching function, MLA of Wangkhem assembly constituency, Keisham Meghachandra said that student’s leaders have a big role in building a nation and there is a need for close relationship between the students and the leaders.
Saying that the differences in various regions of the country are creating a lot of challenges in bringing unity, he said that Project Shakti will be an important medium in nation building activities and every event and occasion can be updated through it. To fight the challenges of communal forces, it is necessary to communicate with national leaders and it is a must to launch Shakti, he added.
Spokesperson of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), Bhupendra Meitei also said that it is necessary to fight against divisive forces as the 2019 election is approaching. He further said that launching of Shakti was an idea of Rahul Gandhi to contribute to the growth of the nation besides the growth in the party.
State in charge and national secretary of NSUI, Debashree Bora said that sending Voter’s IDs to the number 8722178000 will register party workers and help them in getting updates about the manifesto of the party.
